Hello Brian. SHOW US YOUR CHEAP. And win!

Thanks CheapTickets.com, but I think you just proved you're a little cheap when it comes to hiring. A copy editor, perhaps?

I think the e-mail blast is supposed to say: SHOW US YOU'RE CHEAP AND WIN!.

But whatever.

And perhaps I'm cheap. I don't know how this election stuff works, but I went to Obama HQ in Philly today on my lunch break hoping to score some pins or window signs or what not, and I was disappointed to find out 1) they were out of everything except lawn signs (A very good sign though) and 2) it costs to get things like bumper stickers and pins, signs, etc. etc.

Like I said, I've not done this before, so perhaps this is how it goes, but I figured a campaign with tens of millions of dollars should be able to hand this stuff out for free to blanket the city with.

But, on second thought, perhaps blanketing the city isn't so good, and that they were out of nearly everything and charging for it means the people who are supporting him are really behind him.

I'll have to return later in the week. I don't have a lawn, but I do have windows and bookbags for pins ...

I changed my registration from independent to democrat so I can vote for Obama. I just hope the rest of the state comes through. You're right, it is encouraging to see the Philly office pratically out of campaign materials. But there's a world of difference between what Philly voters want and what Altoona voters want.
