The morning after my immersion in a peaceful evening was business as usual here in Philadelphia. And that doesn't necessarily mean anything about Philadelphia was the problem.
The traffic congestion set in again, including the New Jersey driver in the unnecessary SUV driving down the center of Pine Street, either oblivious to the fact that Pine Street is 2 lanes or just a pompous ass behind the wheel.
I'm amazed at how these drivers just ruin the city experience, with there shameless honking, speeding down the street and uncaring attitude toward pedestrians.
Coming home afterwork I saw a D.C. driver speeding down 5th Street, blowing the horn and swerving in front of vehicles to get just 10 feet ahead.
With some sort of karmic vindication, a red light brought this asshole to a stop at Spruce Street.
Now if only these people would just stop coming here in their cars ... We've got trains and planes here in the Northeast. Of course, drivers could just learn how to be considerate and safe.
